Maple Bear Elementary School Prague offers a structured, progressive education designed to guide students through each stage of their development.
We offer the full scope of compulsory education in accordance with the Czech education system. In addition, we provide the option to complete the mandatory final year of preschool education in our preparatory class.
We are an elementary school registered in the Czech School Register and governed by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
Our school consists of two programs:
At Maple Bear, our school is built step by step. The core of our bilingual education is the language immersion method, which is most effective for preschool and early primary-aged children. That’s why Maple Bear schools are developed starting with the youngest grades and gradually expand as our students – and their knowledge – grow with us.
Learning English the Maple Bear Way means that children are surrounded by English throughout their day, engaging with the language in real-life situations and meaningful interactions. Just like they learn their mother tongue, children acquire English naturally – not through formal lessons, but through a wide range of activities that bring the language to life. This approach helps them absorb vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation effortlessly, leading to fluency as they progress through the grades.
We are an accredited school for the full nine years of compulsory education in the Czech Republic, and our facilities are designed to accommodate both the lower and upper primary levels. While we continue to grow, our long-term vision is to remain a close-knit, family-oriented school. We will never become a large educational institution – each grade will have just one, or at most two, classes to preserve our strong sense of community.

My name is Eliška and I am a Czech language teacher at Maple Bear School. I studied education and mathematics at the Faculty of Education. My journey in education began in the Scouts, where I led a children’s group and worked as a trainer in leadership courses. Later, I spent five years teaching in a kindergarten and also gained a lot of experience caring for children. I believe in building warm and positive relationships with children and in nurturing their natural curiosity.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with my daughter, and being with my family. I’m very happy to be part of the Maple Bear team and to accompany your children on their educational journey.
