About Maple Bear Prague
Elementary school
Maple Bear Prague is an exclusive Czech-Canadian elementary school with a stunning view over the Prague skyline. Since September 2025, we have offered a Preparatory Class and Grade 1 in an environment that combines the Czech curriculum with proven Canadian teaching methods.
Our school builds education on strong relationships, a sense of safety, and genuine care. Children learn languages and subjects every day through hands-on experiences, exploration, and meaningful activities – in both Czech and English. We help them grow into confident, curious children with a global mindset, ready to succeed at home and in the wider world.
Although we are a new school, we stand on solid foundations: we draw on the experience of our sister schools in Brno and Olomouc, as well as the Maple Bear Global network, which successfully operates over 600 schools worldwide. Preparatory class
For children 5 - 6 years old
The preschool program for children aged 5–6. This program provides an ideal bridge between kindergarten and elementary school, combining high-quality education with playful, hands-on learning. Children develop school readiness, independence, and a love of learning, while being nurtured and supported in a safe, encouraging environment.
Grade 0
The Preparatory Class is ideal for children who are beginning to explore reading and writing, as well as for those who need time to prepare for Grade 1 at their own pace. It combines the curiosity and playfulness of kindergarten with the structure of a school day, including morning circles, learning centers, outdoor time, and opportunities for free play. Children develop school readiness, independence, and a love of learning, while being nurtured and supported in a safe, encouraging environment.
Bilingual program
Half of the activities take place in Czech and half in English, with children surrounded by both languages every day, guided by a pair of teachers – one a native Czech speaker and the other a native English speaker. We create a rich bilingual environment where children learn naturally through the immersion method, gaining confidence in both languages and developing the skills they need for a smooth transition into bilingual elementary education.
Elementary school
For children 6 - 15 years old
We are a Ministry of Education-registered school that combines the Czech curriculum with world-renowned and successful Canadian teaching methods in a unique blended curriculum. We provide education throughout the elementary school years, from Grade 1 to Grade 9, in a fully bilingual program in Czech and English.
Future - ready skills
Our approach is based on the Canadian methodology, which emphasizes discovery, collaboration, and practical problem-solving. Learning is experiential, connecting knowledge with real-life situations to make it meaningful and relevant. We combine academic excellence with a focus on the holistic development of each child – nurturing not only their knowledge but also their soft skills, such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and resilience, so that children are fully prepared for life!
