Elementary School
Maple Bear Prague combines Czech and Canadian curricula with a focus on bilingual education. Our classrooms support an individualized approach in a creative environment where children learn to think critically, collaborate, and communicate effectively in both Czech and English.

Language Learning
Education in the first grade is equally split between Czech and English. Children spend half their time with a Czech teacher and the other half with an English- speaking teacher.
Both teachers are often present together, ensuring a seamless transition between languages and supporting natural language development across all subjects. With a maximum of 20 children per class, our teachers can focus on the individual needs of each student.

Open to
All Children
Children do not need to complete Senior Kindergarten at Maple Bear to enroll in the first grade. While Senior Kindergarten offers a valuable advantage in adapting to the school environment and bilingual education, it is not a requirement. We welcome children from various educational backgrounds and help them integrate quickly into our teaching system.
We accept children in first and second grade.

Daily Schedule
Children learn in Czech and English through thematic blocks. Subjects such as Math, History, Geography (Science and World), Art, Music, and Physical Education are taught in both languages alternately.
Czech and English language classes are taught separately to allow students to focus fully on each language. This system keeps the curriculum clear and helps children navigate both languages with ease. Lessons end at 2:00 PM, followed by extracurricular activities, clubs, or after-school care until 5:30 PM.
